Parent nominations for School Governance Teams (SGT) will open on Monday, September 8th, and close on Friday, September 12th, at 12:00 PM. All nominations should be emailed to your child's school principal. SGT elections will be held Monday, September 15th, through Friday, September 19th, during regular school hours. Votes may be cast in the front office of your child’s school.

Union County Schools applied for charter system status and began implementation in July 2014. The goal of becoming a charter system is to increase academic achievement through flexibility and innovation while improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency. Included in the charter system is the establishment of a School Governance Team (SGT) at each school.
