On July 1, 2014 the Georgia State Board of Education approved Union County Schools as one of Georgia's Charter School Systems.  The purpose of the charter school system is to increase innovation and flexibility.  The Union County School District is in its second 5-year charter school contract. Union County will focus on innovating and utilizing flexibility to reach our 5 foundational elements:

III. Increased Postsecondary Partnerships

IV. Global Engagement through the Spanish Language (K-12)

V.     College and Career Success
