HB 91 Eliminates High School Graduation Retest

House Bill 91, which was signed into law March 30, 2015, retroactively eliminates all graduation tests as a requirement for students who took those tests from the early 1980s to the present. State Board Rule in 2011 eliminated those tests as a requirement, but that did not extend to students who had already taken the test.

Individuals holding a Certificate of Attendance from Union County Schools but did not receive a diploma because of one or more Georgia High School Graduation Tests are encouraged to contact the Union County High School counseling department at (706) 745-2216 or Woody Gap School at (706) 747-2401.
